Today was the day to post out our hand printed fabric swap creations. Over the last week you've seen me carve both my fingers and some stamps, and here's what I came up with:
I will admit now that it's not entirely how I first envisaged, and I definitely learned something with the printing! I think if I were to use stamps again, I would only do it on small pieces of fabric where I could lie the fabric onto the stamp and brayer over it. Can't wait for the next screen printing class now though, and there's an evening class I've been eyeing up starting in September...
So far I've received 1 of my 4 pieces from my partners, but I'll wait until they're all in before I share :o)

nice work! Love the shades :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did that? Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Now I want an ice cream!
ReplyDeleteGreat swap and I bet your partners are thrilled with what you send them.
ReplyDeleteNice job! I have some fabric printing supplies that I might need to put to use now. Your designs would look great as a border print on a fun tea towel.
ReplyDeleteSo clever x
ReplyDeleteI like this - I have only tried a tiny bit of printing with wee alphabet and reckon it takes a bit of practice.
ReplyDeleteSuper! The bikini and sunnies are perfect together :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome! Love the bucket and spade! =D
ReplyDeleteLooks like summer and It'sy bit'ys pink bikinis.
ReplyDeleteYour stamps are so neat, the fabric looks great. Definitely worth the war wounds!
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic! I love the colors you used.
ReplyDeleteI love it. And if you just took one of those stamps and did a whole piece and then another and another piece you would have a collection in no time.
ReplyDeleteNow what have you done!! I want to try to do one as well...Grrr
ReplyDeleteOooh remember us when you`re a famous designer!
ReplyDeletelooks fab!!! love the bikini especially :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! It's worth the nicks if you end up with this when you're finished. You've done a fantastic job.
