Siblings Together Round Up

The fabulous Lynne, who was partly responsible for coming up with the whole Siblings Together quilt drive, has done a lovely post all about the charity and how the quilt drive came to be.  She asked all of us that contributed to post a little something about what we did.

Quilts for Siblings Together

Although I have no brothers and sisters, I do have a few friends and colleagues that are foster parents, and I have heard some heartbreaking tales of families being separated through the care system, even kids who had brothers and sisters that they didn't even know.  Anything that would remedy that seemed like a good plan to me, so I signed up.

Now I kind of had shares in 2 quilts.  Ella had done a couple of tops, but couldn't really do entire quilts and ship them from the US.  I knew I didn't have time to piece tops, but I could fit in the backing/basting/quilting/binding, so we were the perfect match!  Here's what we contributed (on a day before it started raining *every* *single* *day*...)

Now if you're a fabric lover, and you pop over to Lynne's, there might be a little something in it for you, just saying...

Would it upset you too much if I told you it was 32degrees in Riga (oops, too late I've told you!)?

Never mind there is always A Murray to cheer on tomorrow!
