So my plan was to show you a finished skirt after today's pattern drafting class... Except I forgot to take the muslin in - argh! So this is how I spent my day instead:
Yes, I know, it looks like even less than last week, but that is the result of 5 paper patterns and 4 toiles - whew! It will eventually be a short sleeved shirt for me, but I won't get to the sleeves and collar until next time.
In the meantime, here's the fabrics I'm intending to use - the cord will be the skirt, with the Liberty type print used as the skirt pockets and on the underside of the pocket flap, plus in the belt. The seersucker will be the shirt:
Hopefully NEXT week there will be a finish!

I do think you're very brave and clever doing this you know x
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more. Oh, how is the bear making going. (o:
ReplyDeleteHugs
OOooh you are such an old tease ;0)
ReplyDeleteHope to see you wearing all these items really soon.
You are going to model these for us when they're finished, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteOh well, I think next week's post will be good competition for the Olympics!
ReplyDeleteOoooh wow.... one of these days I suppose I'll need to learn all that, if only to get an outfit that fits... Like your fabric picks too :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very interesting skirt.
ReplyDeleteWould you like some actual liberty fabric? =D
Looks like an interesting week. The problem is I can't see the bear.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Back to sewing garments again, it looks like you are learning a lot!
ReplyDeleteFinish, schminish. Can't wait to see how they come together, love your fabric picks. You obviously don't have kids, no person with ankle biters would ever pick a light colour for a skirt ;o)
ReplyDeleteI like your choices of fabric. Can't wait to see the finished outfit. I don't wish to sound like a broken record but I don't see a bear anywhere. Just saying. ;o}
ReplyDeleteOh how annoying! How lovely it will be to have stuff that fits!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like forgetting the muslin held you back!
ReplyDeleteOoooo, I am super-excited to see it!
ReplyDeleteI'll wait patiently to see the finish. Take your time
