The Finish That Wasn't...

So my plan was to show you a finished skirt after today's pattern drafting class... Except I forgot to take the muslin in - argh!  So this is how I spent my day instead:

Yes, I know, it looks like even less than last week, but that is the result of 5 paper patterns and 4 toiles - whew!  It will eventually be a short sleeved shirt for me, but I won't get to the sleeves and collar until next time.

In the meantime, here's the fabrics I'm intending to use - the cord will be the skirt, with the Liberty type print used as the skirt pockets and on the underside of the pocket flap, plus in the belt.  The seersucker will be the shirt:

Hopefully NEXT week there will be a finish!

  10. Finish, schminish. Can't wait to see how they come together, love your fabric picks. You obviously don't have kids, no person with ankle biters would ever pick a light colour for a skirt ;o)

  11. I like your choices of fabric. Can't wait to see the finished outfit. I don't wish to sound like a broken record but I don't see a bear anywhere. Just saying. ;o}
