You may remember just over a month ago I finished my first Indie quilt. Although both tops were finished at the same time, I only just got to finishing the second one last weekend, and this one is mine all mine! I do apologise for the wrinkles in the pictures, it's because of how I had it folded small and stuffed in a bag all day before I got the photos taken:
The back, where you can see the bulls-eye type quilting, I'll post more about that later.
Final stats:
Fabric: Indie by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics + Kona Amber and Berry
Thread: Pieced using Aurifil 50wt #2000 and quilted using Aurifil 50wt #4030 (which matched Kona Berry perfectly BTW)
Batting: Quilter's Dream 100% cotton
Size: 56" x 56"
Quilting: Circles radiating from the centre
Quilted by: Me again
Pattern: Giant star out of my head (ie, no pattern followed or anything)
Oooh, oooh, oooh, I just realised, this is a super, duper, triple finish!

Gorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm really intrigued by your location - it looks like a hot sunny place, but I'm suspecting this was what you were up to round the back of Braehead? ;)

ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty, Indie is one of my favorite lines and they just work wonderfully in this!
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous! I love the berry background. Bullseye quilting is one of my favourites - but may I say a pain in the arse?! When I did spiral quilting last month I went the wrong way and the quilt going through the throat of the machine got bigger rather than smaller! Won't make that mistake again.
ReplyDeleteAwesome quilt Katy - love the colours and the quilting. Just fab!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding! I love it.
